Event Description
FREE Mock Employment Tribunal covering an unfair dismissal and disability discrimination arising from a long-term sickness absence.
EML are pleased to announce that our first FREE in-person Mock Employment Tribunal since the pandemic will take place on Tuesday, 23 May 2023 between 9.00am – 1.00pm at The Rain Bar, Manchester.
The heads of claim this time round will be unfair dismissal and disability discrimination arising from a long-term sickness absence process that culminated in termination of employment on the grounds of incapacity.
If not managed correctly, any dismissal can give rise to a successful claim. Defending a claim brought in the Employment Tribunal can be both costly and time consuming. For many, the prospect of having to do so is also daunting, especially to those who are tasked with giving witness evidence.
Unfortunately, the abolition of fees back in 2017 has led to spiralling claim levels and the harsh reality is that your business is now significantly more likely be cited as a Respondent than ever before. With this in mind, can you really afford to miss our Mock Employment Tribunal?
If you would like advice on a specific case, our experts will be available for a FREE 1-2-1 consultation following the session (please book in advance via the registration form).
What we will cover
We will re-enact the Employment Tribunal hearing, complete with witness evidence, document bundles and submissions, giving you the confidence to deal with the practical steps involved and a greater understanding of how the tribunal process works.
Who is it for?
This is a fantastic developmental opportunity for any HR professional or manager facing HR / employment law issues which could result in litigation, anyone looking for external support with tribunal claims or anyone wanting to take steps to protect their organisation from receiving a claim in the first place.
