Corporate Social Responsibility

EML is committed to making a meaningful difference in our local community. We connect individuals, businesses, and organisations to help strengthen communities and address work challenges. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, we actively support a range of charitable causes in our local area.

EML are proud to support Blessing in Disguise, a childrenโ€™s charity based in Wigan which provides much needed support for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The charity helps to create positive changes for children and their families/carers by raising funds through events and donations and relies heavily on support from the local community and national businesses. Blessing in Disguise has been our chosen charity for a number of years now, which we support with an annual donation.

Joseph Kendrick was given just ten days to live when he was born and against all expectations is now a teenager. He suffers from Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH), an extremely rare, life-limiting genetic disorder that severely affects development. Josephโ€™s Goal is a local charity that supports research for improved treatments and ultimately a cure for NKH. EML supports Joseph’s Goal by hosting โ€˜Joeโ€™s Jumper Dayโ€™ and a charity cake sale each December to help raise funds and increase awareness of NKH.

EML are delighted to be part of Wired Together, helping to raise funds and awareness for Warrington Youth Zone – a state-of-the-art facility for young people aged 7 โ€“ 19. We believe local businesses play an important role in creating meaningful opportunitiesfor young people. Being part of this inspiring giving club, we’re helping to build brighter futures while connecting with like-minded local businesses who are committed to supporting young people and creating stronger communities.

As part of our pledge to foster community engagement, EML are proud sponsors of Timperley Wizards U15โ€™s, a local youth football team with Timperley Villa. Sponsorship at grassroots level is fundamental in helping to contribute towards the costs of kits and pitches etc, rather than relying on subscriptions alone, and ultimately provides more opportunities for children to play football.

EML volunteers

EML are also proud to support our team who are actively involved in volunteering roles within their communities. Volunteering is a great way to make a difference and give something back, allowing people to connect with their community and make it a better place.

Some of the charities our team volunteer for include NEO Community โ€“ key providers of food assistance and support throughout the Wirral community, Dave Day – an annual charity fundraising event in memory of the late Dave Myers, TV chef and one half of the Hairy Bikers, Association of Breastfeeding Mothers โ€“ providing help and support to breastfeeding mothers and their partners on related issues, Headlines Craniofacial Support โ€“ a national charity providing practical support and information to people affected by craniosynostosis and other rare craniofacial conditions and Mummyโ€™s Star โ€“ the only charity in the UK and Ireland dedicated to women and birthing people diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth. Some of our team also volunteer for their local grassroots teams and organisations where their children are actively involved โ€“ Timperley Wizards and IndepenDANCE, a Warrington based dance company.
